I visited Laddakh last year and we hired a professional Driver who was capable to maneuver the difficult terrains. The roads were horrible and at times the steep Cliffs was so narrow and dreadful that it was by no means for the faint heart. Through out the journey, I was so thankful to my Driver that because of him we could make this happen and enjoy the beautiful Laddakh along the way. Of course, I could have driven myself all the way, but would not that have been risky for me and my family? Would I have really enjoyed the beautiful Laddakh? Most likely NO, since I would have been stressed out. Along the way, we saw several accidents. In fact, we even came across a Car that had fallen off the cliff. We saw several Bikers injured along the way on that difficult terrain. Anyways, think of the Driver as a Financial Advisor who knows how to manage the Ups and Downs of the Volatile markets while an Individual Investor like me can peacefully do my day time job and spend quality time with the family. My ROI (Return on Investment) on this Laddakh trip was to enjoy and have fun and leave the intricacies of other logistics to the Driver. At the end of the trip, we tipped the Driver heavily. Bottomline, go with the Pro and avoid the possible disaster that could ruin you completely. Hope you got the point.
